I joined Propeller earlier this year after attending an exhibition and artist talk that reminded me of the importance of artist-run spaces. Beyond sharing my work, I’ve enjoyed contributing to the gallery’s day-to-day operations and collaborating with fellow members to support its programming. As a practicing artist, it is meaningful to be part of a space where artists collectively shape opportunities for one another, exchange ideas, and build connections. Propeller represents a spirit of collaboration, mutual support, and collective stewardship that I value deeply. Being part of its 30th anniversary exhibition is a meaningful opportunity to celebrate the artists who have sustained this community over the years while contributing to its future.
