Curtains clothe our daily affairs, from the mundane to the exciting to the unsettling. Curtain references abound in our lives–“pull back the curtains”; “it’s curtains for him”; “iron curtain”; “curtain call.” We drape our own windows both to hide from the world and to covertly observe it. If our curtains could only talk . . . What secrets might they tell?
