I joined Propeller in 2014 when I had shift from being a very busy music educator to devoting more time to my art practice. Propeller’s group of artists and splendid exhibition space was a huge draw. I was active on the board and chaired the Programming committee for three years, helping to plan art calls and schedule members with a balance of media and focus. Programming has been a part of my life for many years: ten years with Friends of Music in Port Hope; ten years in various roles with the OSA. Propeller’s, Mail Art unlimited dada, show during the lockdown is a special memory as we overcame physical challenges to continue to present art in a difficult time. Initiating Touch 1 was rewarding too. I had several successful shows at Propeller during the seven years I was a member. Wonderful to see new exciting artists thrive at Propeller.
