I have forever been attracted to the land, the big skies, the wide-open spaces, the ocean. When I started doing art, my work showed my affinity tforo minimalism. I would choose a minuscule part and blow it up to the size of the surface.
Over the years, I’ve been exploring abstract landscapes in bright or muted colours, at times in black and white. Always simplified.
I paint primarily in oil on canvas and on paper. I apply limited colours directly on the surface and blend them with brushes and/or painting knives. I let the colours happen, creating movement.
