I arrived at Propeller in 2002 when I was looking for an internship upon finishing an Arts Admin program at Humber. This was not my first encounter with Propeller, but was the start of my true connection with it. Welcomed in by Emelie Changur, I became Propeller’s second Gallery Administrator when the collective was being lifted by a rising tide of interest in the upstart West Queen West Gallery District. I was inspired and overwhelmed by the talent in the membership and the excitement in Toronto’s art scene– what a time! Can’t claim much credit for anything but was happy to help, and to be involved in facilitating the visions of some great artists- and many absolute blowout parties. Propeller is also how I met my life partner Elizabeth Fearon and for that I am eternally grateful. Everyone who has helped Propeller reach this milestone should be proud.
