I was a Propeller Member for about 5-6 years in the early 2000’s during which I had two solo exhibitions, “Food For Thought” (2007) and “Convergence” (2013). At that time the Gallery was located as a storefront on Queen Street West and was a neighbour to other Galleries close by, which created a cultural density not seen now. The Membership was very active in having a say in the direction of the Gallery and hence their decision to move to Abell St. and focus on preserving Propeller as a permanent, vibrant community. I am happy that they have achieved their goal and am thrilled to be invited to participate in this special celebration.
