Sow and Weep is a work from my debut show at Propeller. Sow and Weep was part of the exhibition “Object Versus Subject” which explored the interplay between humanity, technology, and the machinery of politics, culture and the military. Everyday objects (household appliances) and subjects (human or animal figures, words, and icons) tentatively coexist within the frame to represent varying states of the human condition. Appliances, such as the Sewing Machine, served as a memorial making machine which depicted cause and effect through the chronicling of human self inflicted miseries.
