Life’s ambiguities, the spaces between, the “unseen”…Creates a sense of wonder, to paint what I “don’t know”. I’m enormously moved by nature in all its mysterious complexities and human nature, the resilience and compassion is life-affirming. Science, technology, climate change, the process of decimation and the remediation of our planet, also inform my art. Otherwise, I’m a happy camper with one foot in reality and the rest of me, elsewhere! Hence my symbolic reconstructions of fictional locales, where amorphic beings, invented vegetation and dwellings, often float to the surface of their own volition. Inspiring imagined interior and exterior spaces, as a hopeful metaphor for the human condition.
