Stefan Wegner (b.1975) is a Canadian multimedia artist exploring provocative themes through writing on objects. After 24 years as a globally-recognized and awarded creative force in the communications industry, Stefan now applies the same rigour and intensive creative thinking to his conceptual artwork. Using thorough research, meticulous design, and spikes of unsettling wit, Stefan creates objects to incite spirited conversation and encourage deeper personal contemplation.
Stefan designs art objects that draw you in with layers of thought to uncover. His researched concepts come to life through carefully chosen words that are amplified by the objects they inhabit. These objects — either visually striking or deceivingly banal — expose uncomfortable yet intriguing themes; those thoughts you’re always nudging back into your subconscious.
