Erica Ross

Born and raised in Toronto in a home of art and dance, Erica is a lifelong creator with over 45 years of experience in visual, healing, and expressive arts, spanning cultures and borders.
After graduating from OCA(D) in 1977, she explored a wide range of creative pursuits, including jewelry-making, enamelling (and teaching it), clothing design, co-owning a boutique, and performing dance. Her focus later shifted to the co-creation of a women’s dance practice, and DJing dance sets.
In 2018, Erica wrote and illustrated two self-published books: “She Reflects: A Spiral Journey for the Feminine Soul” and its companion, “She Reflects Journal & Colouring Book,” rekindling her connection with visual art and leading to a daily painting practice. Since 2020, Erica offers fellow creatives guidance as a “Creativity Doula,” and hosts “Open Studio: Creativity in Community,” an online co-working space where she creates her own artwork.
Each iteration of Erica’s creative path has led her to deeper layers of her identity, worldview, and approach to life.

My work is a sacred experiment, shaped and guided by intuition, curiosity, and deep listening. Through texture, movement, and ritual, I weave together the sacred feminine, storytelling and transformation. Each piece is both an offering and an invitation — a way of spinning story, symbol, and spirit into form.
Beads shimmer like constellations, threading ancient memory with the present moment. Paint flows with instinctual marks, layering elements and currents of connection, growth, and renewal. Patterns emerge through quiet conversation with life and the materials themselves, guided more by feeling than by plan.
Rather than telling a story, I invite an opening for the story to unfold, leaving space for the unseen and unknown to be felt and sensed. I hope each piece offers a place and passage where wonder, magic, and imagination meet — a quiet space for reflection, discovery, and healing.
At the heart of it, my work — whether in art, movement, writing, coaching or DJing — is a dedication to the Muse, and the creative process itself: an ever-evolving, meandering journey through both tangible and ethereal realms, where love is made visible.
