For his latest show, Vosu transforms obsessions into images constructed out of paper, which once adhered to wooden panels, become metaphorically and physically locked under a skin.
Born 1957, in Montreal, Canada. Andres Vosu is a Toronto based artist and member of The Propeller Gallery. As an artist, he experiments with many processes of making art, but mostly is a mixed media artist.
His work alludes to human emotion, frailty and vulnerability. He uses visual elements such as stylized figures, objects, symbols and icons to depict human activity, ideas and personal and community obsessions.
Vosu has been a member of Propeller Gallery for 10 years where he exhibits in group and solo shows.
Vosu has received awards for his work in photography and filmmaking.
