“This work embodies the passage of time. I approach photography the way I approach a painting. The exposures, the figures, and the background or the landscape are manipulated to create an image that wasn’t there by rearranging the elements. Every detail has been organized and chosen. I intended for the subtleties of unfamiliarity to draw curiosity in the observer.”
