September 29 – October 9, 2016
After a summer-long renovation of the gallery’s new space on Queen St. and Abell, just south of the Drake Hotel, Propeller is re-opening this coming September-October, with an exhibition entitled “Re-Vision.”
Re-Vision implies transformation, recalibration, redirection, and renovation. As a creative practice with a long tradition, all artists and designers revisit older work, seeking inspiration, instigation, or just a new/old way forward.
For this exhibition, Propeller is asking artists to show Toronto’s creative communities their process in these terms. Show us your re-worked paintings, drawings, sculptures, and videos; Show us change, reform, palimpsest, and upheaval.
Propeller is open again, with a revamped space, and a new outdoor public space adjacent, the Art Park at Abell Street. This open call will be juried by Frances Patella (BFA, B.ED, OSA), Dr. David Griffin (OCAD University), and media and technology specialist Anthony Saad.
