Peter Shoebridge and Keijo Tapanainen’s two-person exhibition at Propeller shows a mutual interest in the human figure expressed in edges and line, form and space.

My musing figurative collages attempt to capture the persona by juxtaposing complementary visual imagery collaged from unrelated sources. KT
Keijo Tapanainen is a digital visual artist born in Finland based in Toronto. He has exhibited in extensively in Canada, US and Europe.
Keijo is interested in creating works that are playful in nature and that address the idiomatic and the idiosyncratic. The human figure is central to his art and his works attempt to capture the persona through the juxtaposition of complementary visual imagery, electronically composed and collaged from unrelated sources. He has been a member of Propeller Art Gallery since 1999.
Peter Shoebridge
My abstract figurative work is inspired by many years of life drawing, particularly short gestural poses. I have also had a lifelong interest in portraiture. In the more representational work, I like to reflect on how time and space might intersect with form. PS
Peter Shoebridge has a BSc from the University of Toronto and has studied at Banff Centre for the Arts, Alberta; Central Technical School, Toronto; Ontario College of Art; and Toronto School of Art. He is a member of the Sculpture Society of Canada and Propeller Art Gallery (2025).
