July 4 – 15, 2012
Politics is everywhere.
On TV, at the water-cooler, in the theatre and the cinema, at the dining table, in the playground, between countries and between the sheets, from the pulpit or throne or the soapbox, in dark corners, in a casual remark or a stoney silence stare – political acts are committed every day.
“Political Acts – It’s not about the art.“, is a group exhibition that explores the motivating story behind the artist’s work. A broad theme designed to be inclusive “Political Acts – It’s not about the art” explores both the artist’s work and the story behind it. Propeller Centre for the Visual Arts members and invited guests will show their work July 4th – 15th.
