July 13-17, 2010
Inspired by Fritz Lang’s 1927 film Metropolis, Obscured Metropolis is an exploration of the everyday encounters of the urban experience, as interpreted by a group of emerging artists. It is both a critique and celebration of living in an urban setting in the 21st century, touching on the wide variety of associated issues. This exhibition will feature 20 emerging artists working in a wide variety of media including photography, mixed media, graffiti & street art, textiles, performance, and new media works.
