Paintings that explore the semi-formed or deformed maquettes of the French sculptor Jean Baptiste Carpeaux, referenced from photos of a display of maquettes at Musée d’Orsay. The figures have been enlarged emphasizing the malformed shapes and transforming the interiors of the display cabinets into architectural interiors.
