December 6, 2010
December is that time of year when everyone is busily preparing for the holiday season. No matter what your plans, be it; office parties, family functions, getting together with friends – what do they all have in common… FOOD!
Eat Your Art Out is a special edible art exhibition and happening organized by Propeller Center for the Visual Arts as a pre-holiday feast for the eyes and the taste buds. Think Pop Art, Group of Seven, and Ready-mades, but instead of using traditional art materials, artists will be using all things edible found in their kitchen.
Artists are invited to create edible works of art that will be displayed at the gallery and then eaten as part of a happening. During the evening the gallery will be documenting the happening, as well cameras will be made available for artists to take pictures of the event while enjoying the evening.
How to Participate:
- Bring a piece of edible art that can be displayed, if you are not able to create an edible work, bring food and we will create it into art
- Participation FREE
- PCVA members are encouraged to invite their friends and other artists to participate
- Seeing as this is a food related event Food Bank donations are encouraged
