Abstract Adventures | Judi Lederman

March 8 – 26, 2023
Opening Reception: Saturday, March 11, 2 – 5:30 pm

I have been drawn to abstract painting since my early days as a student at the Ontario College of Art, as it was known then.

I was and still am enchanted by the art of Joan Miro and Paul Klee. Currently, the works of Jonas Wood and Robert Kushner inspire me.

My imagination often leads me to create some playful and quirky images that I hope reflect the joy I find in life.

Judi Lederman, a former high school teacher, lives in Toronto. She received a BA from the University of Toronto. Later she graduated from what was then known as the Ontario College of Art and won the Helen Forsythe Fellowship award. In 1988 she received an Ontario Arts Council grant.

In the late 80s, Judi’s paintings were the subject of a number of reviews including in the Art Post Magazine and The Globe and Mail. Over many years her abstract paintings have been exhibited in both group and solo shows and now live in many homes in North America.
