2nd Salon des Refuses from the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition
July 8 – July 11, 2010
As Napoleon III said: “Let the people judge”
The sheer number of applicants every year to the massive Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition at Nathan Phillips Square means that some of the most dynamic and expressive artists are necessarily rejected. Last year a group of these artists turned their
disappointment to opportunity and created the Rejects show. Following on the overwhelming response and success of the inaugural Rejects show, this year the Rejects will take over Propeller Gallery in the Queen West core. Propeller is a long-standing artist-run space that speaks to the heart of this show.
Twenty talented artists will be selling work that includes painting, drawing, sculpture, photography and glass work. The Rejects show is a must-see event for anyone looking to see “the other side” of the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition.
