This week, for the twenty-second episode in Propeller’s PODCAST series: BEYOND THE FRAME, we hear from Frances Patella.
BEYOND THE FRAME features one-on-one inspiring interviews with Propeller artists, taking you inside the artists’ process; allowing the listener to hear first hand, the intimate stories behind the art!
Episode #22 Frances Patella
In this episode, Artist Frances Patella takes us on a magical trip through space and time, as Red Tailed Hawks hover above!
Her evocative hybrid process of double exposure photography employs the use of carpentry tools, paint and the 19th century Gum Bichromate process, to convey transitional images of the Lands and Forest restorative “Controlled Burns” program.
“Art allows me to explore the world around me and I’m fortunate to be able to do it”
Frances Patella
