Online Encaustic Demonstrations with Amelia Kraemer

In conjunction with the LAYERS of MEANING Exhibition Open Call, Propeller is pleased to have artist Amelia Kraemer present two online encaustic lectures and demonstrations.

Encaustic Painting on June 10 and Encaustic Printmaking on June 17.

No press is used in the Encaustic Printmaking process. This online demonstration will teach you how to pull prints from a heated surface.

About Amelia Kraemer

Amelia Kraemer is a Mixed Media and Encaustic Painter and Instructor based in Owen Sound, Ontario. Amelia teaches workshops both online and in person. Her work is rich in layers of wax, paint and ephemera.

Amelia Kraemer combines her love of history and visual arts. She received a degree in Near Eastern Archaeology and Canadian History, as well as a post-graduate certificate in Museum Management. She turned to visual arts following a car accident that caused her to leave full-time work as an archivist. Her work is exhibited throughout Southwestern Ontario. She teaches workshops at her shared studio at the Elora Centre for the Arts.
